Oh dear, I know him too well now.
& I thought he was perfect.
My brain is saying,
I told you so

Basically I have a theory on people. Everybody has bad points about themselves, and if you can't think of any (or in other words, you think they're perfect), you just don't know them well enough.

I've never understood why people try to make good first impressions. Sounding bad, you could just call it plain lying. Pretending to be nice is gagging.
Why don't you just show people the whole package, plus all the bad bits. Be completely honest, so they can honestly evaluate whether they want to be your friend or not.

By being my asshole self in front of people I've just met (yes I shock them to bits), I show them my worst. After that, there's nowhere to go but up, so if they can deal with the worst of me, they'll get to know all the better bits.

If you show people you're best behaviour, when you do have a bad day, its kind of a rude shock as to exactly how bratty/annoying/etc. you can be.

So back to it.
All people have flaws.
If not, you don't know them well enough.

& I guess that's what has made me give up on people and relationships.
Everyone's on their best behaviour. Not only are they dull, I get disappointed in them after they start to reveal themselves.

In conclusion, all people have flaws. Flaws disappoint. So all people disappoint.

Easy enough?
But oh so pessimistic I guess.
