Panicked breath
The pant of hated ravenous
Frantic heartbeat
Goes "thump" in the middle of the night
Dilated pupils
Stare unblinkingly out of nightmares
Scream of fear
The howl of wild animals
Restless, ceaseless, in the mind,
On the inside.
