george orwell, 1984

A to W:

by the way, finished 1984. mind-fuck, mind blown, disillusioned, utterly life changing

I would write about what it was like in more detail, but nothing comes to mind except the traumatic feeling of the disintegration of the human spirit. The book predicts blatant destruction, and irons out utterly any existence of hope.

And the scariest thing is, I would not be able to survive in Oceania. I would be shipped off to the Ministry of Love, where the atrocities against humanity and invasion of the soul are unspeakable.
And they do not shoot you until you have learned, understood, and accepted.
